Princess Jadyn and Prince Jaxon... and a few random pics

Jadyn likes to play dress up and always feels that Jaxon needs to be included! He's a good sport....for now. Not sure he will be forever! Aren't they cute! I know I promised Christmas pics. We'll work on that tomorrow night. I tackled the whole grocery shopping with 2 kids tonight and it's just exhausting! I'm glad that's done for another 2 weeks! :) So for now I'll just post a few recent pics

Jadyn as a princess-wanted the baseball hat as her "crown"-go figure

Jaxon as a "prince"

Jade loves braids in her hair. I did this to see if I could get it curly. She thought it was so great to have so many braids in her hair and thought it was so cute!

Family pic on Thanksgiving

A new favorite pic of my little buddy! Is he not the cutest little thing. I just love him to pieces! His fuzzy hair makes me laugh. He is just so squeezable and is always do happy!

Catch up

Posting every day there wore me out. Cher told me today it's been FOREVER and then I realize it's only been 4 days! Sheesh!
So what's been going on in the Sommer household? Not a whole lot. It's odd. I've been in some type of slump lately. It's hard to explain, so I won't try. Just a little off. That said, the holiday weekend was nice. I managed to get out Christmas shopping on Friday at 2:00 a.m. Yes, you all read that right. I was home by 10:00 a.m. though, so it wasn't too bad. And actually, I can say that I am done shopping. I may pick up a few things here and there but if Christmas was tomorrow, I'd be fine gift wise.
Being in a slump is weird for me. I love Christmas. Not really the actual day as much, but all of the excitement and the "Spirit" of Christmas before hand. I love the Christmas music, Christmas parties, Christmas food, ect. I just enjoy the message and meaning of Christmas. As a parent, this is the first year I have been thinking about how to get the "true" meaning of Christmas across to Jadyn. It may be overkill this year. She is 3, but somehow I want her to understand it is so fun to get presents, but that we celebrate the birth of Christ. Last night as we were going to bed she said "Mom, I am on the nice list right?" I knew what she was talking about so of course I told her "Yes" Although, if I was judging off of the past week, I may have had to tell her no (wink) Then she said "And mom and brother are on the nice list too, right?" "Sure" I told her. Then she thought a minute and said "And daddy is on the naughty list, right" I just laughed. Then today we were at Albertson's and they had toy for tot boxes and I told her those were for us to buy toys for kids that won't get toys on Christmas. And, innocently she said "But mom, Santa will bring them toys." I don't know how you explain that. "Santa" is magical and brings everyone toys-right? That's hard to explain to little kids-at any age who still believe in Santa. So the question for me is this: Do you explain it to a 3 year old? I really don't know, but somehow I want her to understand she is blessed to have what she has, and understand that "true" meaning of Christmas. Wow....where did all of that come from?
So, I also keep thinking I want to go to "something" Christmasy for Christmas. I love the Forgotten Carols-Scott does not. I love Ryan Shupe and wanted to go to his Christmas Concert-Scott does not. He isn't as much in to the excitement that I get in to. He could stay home every night the next month and be fine with it. Still, I want to find something to do. Suggestions?
Anyway, it is Christmas in our house. The decorations and tree are up. It's a nice cozy feeling when it first goes up. Jade loves all the fun Christmas things. I will take a pic of a few of her favorite things and pics of the kids by the tree tomorrow and will post them.

The Final day of Grattitude

I know, it's a day late in coming, but better late than never. On this last day of my grattitude week, I am grateful for:
Family and Friends:
- Mom:
I have no idea what I would do without her. She is an
amazing example to me and I wish I was more like her.
- Dad:
I love knowing I can call him when I need help and
he is always willing and able.
- Brothers and Sister:
We may not have always gotten along when we were growing
up, but I love being close to them now. I know I drive them all
a bit crazy at timea, but I know they would support and love me
through anything! It is great to have so much family close by.
-Nieces and Nephews:
I have 3 Nieces and 5 nephews who I adore. I miss spoiling
them as much as I did before I had kids, but I still love them
all to pieces!
-Grandma:
I talked about her in another post, she is wonderful
-Scott's family:
Scott's sister is a great friend and a wonderful aunt to
my kids. She reimnds me of the type of Aunt I was before I had
kids! :) His Dad (and his family) and Brother are great as well!
We miss his Mom, especially around the Holiday's. Having her
gone helps to remind us of how we need to appreciate those we
have with us now.
-Friends:
I am so grateful for "good" friends. I struggled all through school with
"friend" issues and after years of having those issues, it helped me really
appreciate the "good" friends. The ones who love me on my good and
bad days. The ones who are honest with me. The ones who listen to my
"vents" and know it is just that-a vent, and tomorrow will be better.
So I must say-because they both read my blog- Tracy and Cher I love ya both!
I know we will be friends for life. I appreciate all you do for me and would
do anything for either of you and your families! I am grateful for all of
my other friends as well. Friends make life so much easier! :)
Honestly, I wouldn't be who or where I am today without those I have listed above. I can't imagine life without any one of them. I am so blessed to be able to be surrounded by so many amazing people! I love you all very, very, much!
Happy Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful Day and have so much to be thankful for!

The Second Day of Grattitude!

Today, I am going non serious here. We must all admit we are grateful for things that we know we could always do with out, but definately don't want to if we don't have to! :) Ah, the simple pleasures in life!
So, today I am grateful for:

My Favorite "Things"
- DVR:
I have always loved recording things, but this sure beats
the heck out of using a video tape. I LOVE it!
-Caller ID
I have no idea what I would do without it. Well, ok, I do. I would just
let the answering pick up every call until I knew who it was!

- Red Vine Super String licorice:
It's no wonder I haven't lost much weight since having Jax.
I LOVE these things!
- Bajio:
I really love this place and there are 2 really good things about this.
1- Jadyn loves it to and is always wanting to go there.
2-Right now the closest one is about 15 min away which is
far when I want something close. BUT within the month,
there will be one within less than a 1/2 mile from my house!
EEEEKKKK!!!! I'm happy about that.
Down side: SCott does not share the love here. It will have to be a place Jade and I go alone!

- Little girl clothes
Yes, they are no doubt one of my favorite things! One, they are just
so cute to look at and buy and two, it's much more fun to shop
for my kids than myself. I don't have to worry about what I
look like in them. I must say though, that I do love....
-Comfy Clothes:
As in velour outfits or cute cotton pants and hoodies that match
(Aeropostale seems to be my favorite place for those)
Now that I can wear them as work attire, I feel alot better about
how many outfits like this I already have and the fact that
I keep buying them. Come on, they are work clothes! ;)
-Itunes:
I love that I can buy just my favorite songs and not the whole
album and that I can then listen to them all day on the computer or put
them on my IPOD or burn a disk. I really love what Scott calls "Chic music"
and I love to just turn it up loud while I work. It's so relaxing!
- Lip gloss from Bath and Body works
Man, they have so many great colors and flavors. I love them!
I have a ton of them. Jade loves my "lips" to and always asks
to put them on and promises not to squeeze them even though
she usually does. I guess I can share my favorite things with her as well!
-EDITED TO ADD: DIET PEPSI
Seriously-How could I forget this one? It's so up there in the
top 3 of my favorite things. Love the stuff. I drink way too
much of it and passed on the awful habit to my daughter! Bad
example, I know. Mmmm....off to get one now!
That's just a few of some of my much loved items. I know I don't need any of these things, but it doesn't mean I can't be grateful for all of them.... Right?

The 3rd Day of Grattitude!

He is 5 months old today, so what better day to be grateful for:

JAXON!

- He is the sweetest baby. He cries only when he is hungry

or tired and I have not put him to bed.

- He is very, very patient with his older sister, who loves

to hold him, roll him over, take his binkie, etc. Most of

the time he even smiles during the pestering!

- He is a good sleeper. He sleeps from about 8:30-6:00!

I couldn't ask for better!

-He is a snuggler and I love it. I'm afraid it won't

last much longer, so I enjoy it while I can

- He is so fun to watch as he rolls over a lot and

can turn himself in circles on the phone

- He is a drooler and loves to slobber as much as

possible! I'm sure he is just working on some

more teeth. Right now I can still only feel the

one on bottom though!

- He smiles all the time. He will smile at anyone and

his smile is to die for!

I could go on and on about my little "Buddy" (as Jadyn calls him) I love him to pieces and can't imagine life without him. He makes me happy. Jadyn and I both love to go get him when he wakes up in the morning. He gives us the biggest smile, like he is excited to see us as well! I know I've mentioned it before, but I can't believe I, at one time, was nervous about having a boy. He is such a blessing in my life. I sure do love ya Jax! Today I am definately grateful for you!

Since I forgot to take pics of him today, I went down and took some of him-even though he was asleep for the night. So, here he is in his "Bed"

It was pitch black in the room when I was taking these and I couldn't see him. I thought he was still asleep so when I looked to see how this pic turned out I was surprised to see this (guess the flash woke him up!) Talk about a deer in a headlight look! He went right back to sleep.

The 4th day of grattitude

I was supposed to write this on Sunday, and it went along with the whole Nursey post. Today I am grateful for:

The Gospel
- I am grateful to have a living prophet on the earth
who leads and guides us
- I am grateful for the attonement-to know that there
is always someone who understands what I may
be going through and also allows me to be forgiven
for the times that I mess up in life
- I am grateful for the Book of Mormon and the direction
I can receive from it
- I am grateful for the temple and the spirit of peace I
feel whenever I am there
- Most importantly, I am grateful that because of the gospel,
I am sealed to my family and can be with them forever

It's a miracle!

If you know me well, you know that Jadyn does not go to nursery be herself. We have done all we can do to make her stay and there was just no way. With 13 nursery kids and only 2 leaders, it makes it hard to leave a creaming child in there. The thing is, she isn't 18 months old and after 10 min will calm down and forget she wants her mom. She's 3 and smart and knows if she was to scream long enough, they would eventually come find me. Anyway, needless to say, I have been spending the past year (scott had the 6 months prior) in nursery. The entire 2 hours! She ignores me the entire time I'm there, but if I try to sneak out she notices and goes running out the door! A couple weeks ago one of the leaders said she was taking kids potty and did anyone else want to go. Jadyn said she did and then turned to me and said "Mom, you stay right here and I will be right back!" I was like....what? Anyway it's been an effort. People are always surprised because it is against her personality. She is just so outgoing, and independent. She doesn't have a problem with daycare or anything.
Ok....so today I again went to nursery. I was there for about an hour and I decided that I wanted to go to Relief Society. After she did singing time by herself and sat right next to one of the leaders I decided to try it. I told her Mommy wanted to go to her class and I would be back in "2 minutes" (in JAdyn's mind that means a little while) and then I would come back and get her. To my pure AMAZEMENT she said "OK" and off she went to go get a snack! I pretty much ran out of there! And she was fine. I went to R.S. for 40 min. They did have to come get me because she went potty by herself and kind of....fell in and get her dress wet! She was very happy to see me and said "Mommy, you came back to get me!" So, it was a good Sunday. I just keep thinking how ironic. I'll get her finally going by herself to nursery and in 5 weeks she will be going to Primary! :) Good Job Jade. You are so big!!!!

The 5th Day of Grattitude

Take a seat, this one may be LONG! Today I am grateful for:

Jadyn

-I am grateful that she is hilariously funny. She can make me laugh whether I am happy, sad, onery, or even when I am mad at her. Without fail, she can always make me laugh.

-I am grateful that she is so loving. So quick to give hugsand kisses. She let me hold and cuddle her and likes to snuggle at night. I love having a cuddly kid.

-She is incredibly smart. She loves to wow us with new things she learns. She also tries to use her "smarts" to try to talk her way out of things-whether that be not having to go to bed, or getting an extra treat! :) Sometimes it even works!

- I am grateful that she loves me so much that she constantly asks me if I will marry her and brother. When I try to explain she is kind of married to me since Scott and I got married in the temple so she can be with us forever. Even after I tried to explain that she said "Mommy can you please marry me and brother? I'm sick and it will make me feel better!" I

- I am gratefuly that she is a momma's girl. She sticks up for me and gets very upset if she thinks anyone is trying to be mean to me-even if they aren't. She loves to be with me and is my "littlest best friend"

-I am grateful that she tries to be such a big helper with Jax. She really loves him. She lights up when he comes in a room, and amazingly enough, he usually smiles and laughs at her, even when she is in his face 24/7. In 2 months when Jax can get around enough to get all the toys she leaves on the floor, this could be a whole different story! I guess will shall see! :)

-Most of all, I am grateful that I am her mom. I must have done something right to be able to be blessed with such a happy and adorable little girl. She is such a joy and I just love being her mom. Hopefully she will always know how much a blessing she is to me! I sure love ya Jade!

I pulled her bangs up the other day. I think she needs the bangs

but she is cute no matter what!

She always enjoys a good chocolate treat!

I love this picture. I asked her to let buddy sit by her while I finished getting ready in the morning and sat him next to her and I came down and she had scooted him over to her and put her arm around him. It was so cute! I think they look so alike in this picture!

Friday, November 16, 2007

Side note....

We have a tooth! I felt in Jax's mouth today and he has a tooth. I'm talking already broken the skin, all the way out tooth! It on the bottom right side! He isn't even 5 months yet! It doesn't surprise me much though since he has acted like he is teething for the past 2 months with all the chewing on the hands and slobbering! He is getting so big. I am a little nervous about him biting me while I'm nursing him, but I'll just cross my fingers! :) I promise pics with my next post!

The 6th Day of Grattitude

Today, I will be grateful for my Husband! So Scott, this one is for you! (HA! He will never even know it's here, since he never even looks at this blog!)
My Husband
-Hard Working
Most of you know that Scott has been going to school to get
his Master's degree the past two year. I has been a long 2
years for all of us, but especially him as he has had to do
all of the work! I appreciate him working so hard at this so that
we can get a little farther ahead on the school teacher
totem pole. Ahhh....he has 3 weeks left and then no more
going to school for him for a long, long time!

- Great Dad
Scott is such a good dad. I love watching him play with
both of our kids. He loves the days that he is able to come
home and spend time with them. He is the greatest "play"
dad and loves playing pretend with Jade, making up songs,
"rocking hard core" in the car, and snuggling them. My kids
are lucky to have them as their Dad
-Husband
I am grateful for Scott's unconditional love and understanding
He is so good to me and most of the time very patient. :) He is
quick to show his appreciation and love for me as a wife and mother
So, on the 8th day, I am grateful for him! I did tell him I was posting something about him and all he said was I better not post a pic-he didn't even ask what I wrote! :)

The Week of Grattitude

I was reading my friend jen's Blog today and I liked an idea she had and I am stealing it-thanks Jen! She decided that since it is Thanksgiving and she has so much to be grateful for, she would do 9 days of grattitude (she started two days ago) and every day post about something she is grateful for! Since Thanksgiving is only a week away (which I can't believe!) I will do the 7 days of grattitude, which for those of you who can't stand when I don't blog more (Cher) now you will get a new blog at least every day for the next 7! Oh, and by the way, these are in Random order!

SO.... ON the Seventh Day of Grattitude.....I am grateful for:
Comforts
I was laying by Jade the other night while we were going to bed and she was trying to organize all of her blankets around her and we started talking about how we need to be grateful for our blankets because some kids don't have blankies. That led us to talking about how some people don't have food or houses either and how lucky we are to have these things. I also told her that we will take some things to try to help those people because that would be nice to do. Anyway, we laid there for a minute and then she said "That is so bery sad" And it is. So, tonight I am grateful for:
- My house
I often complain it's too small, but I am grateful to have a house.
A safe place that my kids can always come home to.
- Our Jobs
I may not always love working, but I am grateful that both Scott and I
have jobs that provide for us to have things such as: Food and blankets and clothes
- Our Cars
Gas may be expensive, but I am grateful for a means of transportaion
Sometimes, ok-most of the time, I forget how lucky I am to have all the basics. When I see people who have nothing I feel so "bery sad" for them. I can't even fathom that, especially now that I have kids. I feel awful for those parents who have to wonder where they will get their kids' next meal or where they will sleep. It's heartbraking to even think about.
So there you have it. Today I am grateful for all of my "comfort" things. Things that often go unforgottten at what a blessing they are to have in our lives

Perspective....

I learned a lesson today. Maybe I should say I was reminded of something today. My Grandma is an amazing woman. Seriously. She is single and lives with my uncle who is handicapped. She just turned 75 and is not like any other 75 year old I know. She can do anything. She refinishes furniture, fixes anything that breaks, bails out the window well that is about to flood the house, cooks, sews, gardens, volunteers, etc. She can do everything! I have said to myself "I don't know how she does it. Sometimes her life seems so hard!" And yet, she is the most positive, forgiving, non judgemental person. It's no wonder my mom is the way she is! Anyway, my grandma stopped by today to bring Jadyn a birthday present and we got to talking. We were talking about life and she said that someone once said to her "I don't know how you did it. Going through the divorce must have been awful" or something to that effect. My grandma replied with "Ya know, my life has been great!" She told me it's all about perspective and realizing things could always be worse, there are people out there who go through worse and .....life is great! She is right-life is great and how important it is that we keep it in perspective! Thanks for the reminder Grandma! I love you!

p.s. another lesson I was reminded of today....Sometimes a 3 year old gets a little mischeivious. It's a good idea to watch her as she plays with her brother-especially after you turn around to see your sweet baby's mouth stuffed with a big old bouncy ball! They were 3 inches from me! Good thing I was sitting right there and quickly took it out-he didn't even seem bothered by it! Ugh....we had a long talk on how we NEVER put things in buddy's mouth-whether it's toys or food, his mouth is OFF LIMITS!

Sickness and the park

My past posts were long-so I will keep this short. Sick kids are no fun. 4 month old babies who can't take any cold medicine? Really not fun. Praying my cold-coughing-grumpy kids get better soon! Alas-I still love them and just feel bad when there isn't much I can do to help!
Good note for the day. It was so nice outside! Scott took Jade to the park this afternoon. It started off a little rocky as I made him wake her up (it was 4:45) and if you read the post below, you know she is not happy if you wake her up. Anyway, they must have had a good time. She came home happy as can be with a momma's drink, a movie (Night at the Museum-she loves this show) and said to me "We rocked-hard core!" Yeah, I think Scott got her to say that. She said she had fun sliding down the slides with dad and racing him in the leaves. Should I mention she had to go to the bathroom and because there was not one in sight Scott had her pee in the grass? Nah......

Birthday-Day! Part 3 of 3

I just can not believe my little girl is actually 3! What a wonderful 3 years it has been! In 3 years I've spent only 4 nights away from her (2 when I had Jax). I really do love having her around me. She makes me happy, makes me laugh and is just my little best friend. I adore her! I am so grateful for her and the joy she brings to our family.
That said, I will have to admit I am a little afraid of the 3's! I have had soooo many people tell me that 3 was much harder than 2. We never had any real "terrible two" incidents and after a few issues we've had the past week, I am afraid! I said the other day 3 might be worse for me because when she does throw a fit, she is MUCH harder to reason with and definately knows what pushes my buttons! Well, we will just take one day at a time and hope we have a smooth year ahead of us! :)
Anyhow, she had a great birthday. Scott wanted her to open gift before he left. Usually waking Jadyn up is an awful idea. We try to let her get up on her own as often as possible as her mood is MUCH better when she does. But-when she wakes up and hears "Happy Birthday! Do you want to open your presents?" she is more eager and happy than usual. She has been waiting for her birthday for a long time so she was so happy to open her presents and have us sing happy birthday to her. She just sat and listened and smiled while we sang! Here is a pic of her playing with her littlest pet shop toys!

I had to work so I took her to daycare where she was sang to again at least 3 times. She was in heaven with all of the singing! AFter taking a good nap (yes, I made her nap on her birthday!) she woke up VERY excited to go and pick up Seth and Zach. She LOVES her cousins and was so happy to see them and have them sleep over! We stopped to get Mcdonalds since that is what JAde wanted. She would eat "Chicken nuggets, fries, dip, and momma's drink" every day if I let her. We got home just as more friends came. Tracy came over with Easton and Brayden. Jade loves playing with Easton and was happy to have all 4 of those boys at her house! Next it was time for Cake. OK, so Scott got me an ice cream cake from Cold Stone for my bday and ever since then Jade has been talking about how she wanted a spongebob cake for her birthday! She was also very, very insistent on buying party hats!
After eating cake and her ice cream chocolate she spent the rest of the night playing. She loves presents (what 3 year old doesn't) and since she has so many people who love her come over that night, she had plenty to open! Here she is in her dress up clothes!
When it was time for bed she laid down to watch Meet the Robinson's with Seth and Zach. Zach was asleep pretty much instantly. Seth made it through the whole show, but fell asleep immediately after. JAde turned off the t.v. and I thought "Wow, she is just worn out" Not 10 min later she came upstairs and just wanted to play with all her new things!

So there you go! Part 3. What a fun Birthday weekend we all had around here! Jaxon can never read this.....I just don't think we will make it to Disneyland/Sea World for his 3rd birthday. Then again- ya never know! :)

Birthday Weekend Fun Part 2 of 3

We made it to San Diego-barely. Neither Scott nor I slept Thursday night, so not leaving L.A. until midnight was a huge mistake. We said a prayer before we left that we could make it safely!Scott started off driving and after about 10 min I made him pullover so I could drive. I made it about 45 min and I was just too tired to keep driving. I was so tired. Being the responsible parents that we are :), we pulled into a gas station and got out and walked around a little. Luckily it worked and we were to our hotel about 15 min later. Needless to say, we walked in and went straight to bed!

We made it to Sea World around 10:00. The weather was perfect and we had a great day. Only a little whining from Jade and no blowout from Jax. Scott was insistent we feed the Dolphins so we did that first! It was great. Jadyn loved being able to touch and feed the dolphins. It's so cool to be so close! The next thing was Shamu-since that was why we went. Jadyn LOVED it! After some Shamu watching we grabbed some lunch at Mama Stella's! It was great food-for $40 for a family of 3, it better be- and we even had a good laugh when Scott dumped his food all over himself! We made it to the Dolphin show, Sea Lion show, Dog/Cat/Bird show in the afternoon. We had a disapointing moment after the dolphin show while we were waiting to leave Jade was playing with her stuffed Shamu and saw some birds and ran after them. Scott and I both turned to tell her to come back and in that short amount of time, someone stole her Shamu!!!! How sad is that. The nice thing was when we went to get another one, I told the sales lady why we were buying another and she gave us the Shamu for Free!!! How nice was that? I wasn't expecting that at all!

After we made it to all the shows, we went and saw the Sharks, horses, penguins, flamingos, polor bear, Walrus, and a few other things. We also fed the seals and the California Bat rays. JAdyn was not afraid to feed or touch anything! There was one ride there which Scott and I both rode just before we left. The was no line, so that was nice and Jade had a kick out of watching us (we took turns since she couldn't go) and laughed so hard when we got wet!

It was such a good day and Jade had a great time. We were there from 10-6 and it was the perfect amount of time to see everything! I'm so glad we decided to go. We really enjoyed spending time with the 4 of us!

Jadyn loved this Zoey!

Feeding the Dolphins!

The Shamu show

Jade Dancing in the aisle doing the "Shamu Slam"

These are HUGE animals!

The underwater viewing of the whales. He was doing circles in front of the glass. Jade would have watched them for hours!

Jade kept picking leaves to feed to Shamu. It was so cute!
Touching star fish
The big horse! He was huge!

Birthday Weekend fun. Part 1 of 3

A few months ago Jade was watching t.v., and saw a commercial on Sea World. Something happens that always happens with me-my mouth worked faster than my brain and I said to Jade "Should we go see Shamu for your birthday?" She loves the show Free Willy, so she said yes right away. I thought it would be a quick, cheap trip since we get good flying benefits. It ended up being more than I thought, but she has been excited about it for months. So the plan was to leave for San Diego on Friday after Scott got out of school, go to Sea World on Saturday and then fly home on Sunday. Well, Flights didn't look good from here to there so we ended up having to fly into Orange County....which is also DisneyLandville. I love DisneyLand and Jade has been SOOOOO into princesses lately so I really wanted to take her, but just couldn't figure out a way since Scott couldn't leave School early. So, on Thursday afternoon, the day before we were leaving, I was talking to Scott's sister who quickly said she would totally be willing to fly down to Disney with us for the day. So we quickly re-arranged a few things and plans were made for us to fly out early in the morning, go to disney for the day, and meet Scott at his Aunts house later in the evening. Besides the fact that I never went to bed Thursday night trying to get things ready for us to go at 5:00 a.m., it worked out and we had a good time. We were lucky enough to get seats together on the way down and Jaxon got a seat too. The kids were soooo good on the plane. Jax slept the entire way! Disney was a different experience this time for me, than all the times of the past. I am usually all about the rides. I love amusement park rides and that is all I want to do, but as soon as we got in the park all JAde wanted to do was see Mickey and the princesses. We waited in line for an hour for the Nemo ride (which I think was a huge waste of time) we got off to a bad start there. JAde had gone with BRandee to ride another ride while I waited, only to have me call them just as they were about 5 people away from getting on, and tell them they needed to leave and come back because it was almost time to get on Nemo. As you can imagine, Jade was not happy about that at all and had a few meltdowns until we got on Nemo. Other problem was JAxon's blowout diaper, which I wasn't about to leave my place in line so I somehow managed to change it in his carseat, in the stroller! Anyway, afterward we were going to see Mickey, but ran into princess land first. Jade insisted we waited to see the princess. The line didn't seem too long, but when I asked how long people had been in and they said and hour, I about died. But....we waited, and waited, and waited and an hour and a half later we finally saw them. It was hard waiting. Jade was tired, we were onery to just be standing there. But....I must admit is was sooo worth it. The smile on her face when she saw and talked to the princesses was so priceless! She loved it and after we saw them, pluto, and Mickey (who there was no wait to see-go figure) I had a happy child ready to go ride rides. We got all of Fantasy land in (Mad hatter, Peter Pan, Dumbo-which we had another blowout with Jaxon in line issue-, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty Winnie the Pooh) and then we were also able to go on my Favorite ride-the Haunted MAnsion- before we had to leave to meet SCott. All in all, it turned into a really good day. We tired JAdyn out though. She was awake, awake, awake and then we went to look for something for BRand to get Jade and it was like the energy was just G.O.N.E. We asked her if she wanted a toy or a minnie shirt and she got out "Miiinnniiee Shiirrrtt" really slowly and then she was asleep. It was so funny-my child doesn't fall asleep anywhere and stays up as long as possible, but I think getting up at 5:30, being sick and missing a nap did a number on her! She stayed asleep on the drive to Scott's aunt, woke up to go into Dinner, but then slept on the bench. Woke up to go inside his aunts, but slept on the couch and then stayed alseep the entire drive to San Diego! Whew....that is part one of Our trip! On to the pics!

Happy and Energetic to be going to Disney!
Jaxon right after getting on the plane and just before he fell asleep! First plane ride!

The 4 of us in front of Mickey Entrance!

I hate waiting and this is getting old!

Mom, don't take my picture. I'm already annoyed that I am waiting so long!

Jadyn with Mulan! She hasn't watched this show as much, so she wasn't over the top about this one!

She loved this prince. Her face here makes me laugh!

She loved Belle and had so much fun talking to her!

Is her face here not priceless?!? She was so happy!

PLuto and JAdyn!

Mickey and Jade
Mickey and Jax-too tired to care he was meeting Mickey for the first time!
In front of Haunted Mansion. I think Jade was tired of pics!
Does she not look completely worn out? Disney can do that to you!

Alright. There is my novel for the night. You now know why I need to make it a 3 part. More tomorrow!
