Jade has been off track the past 3 weeks. We were able to go on a little date last week while the other kids were at preschool/daycare. We took her to get a pedicure. The lady did a great job and painted her toes and nails. She was a happy girl. It is really nice to get to spend one on one time with my kids! Can't believe she is almost 8! Love her!

Loving the Fall weather!
The weather lately has been so great! I love fall when the weather turns enough that we can hang out again outside in the evenings and not die of heat. Both Jax and Jade had playing outside when it is hot. I love spending time outdoors at the park or going on walk with the kids. Definitely some of my favorite times and Fall allows for that to happen! We spent two nights at the park last week. The kids all loved it! Hopefully there will be many more times spent outside in the next month before the cold comes!
Miss Jadyn and one of her best friends!
Haddie LOVES to swing!
Jax just loves being outside and getting to play! The first night at the park he had to bring all of his supplies and turned himself into "super hero Jaxon" (as pictured below. He's a funny kid!

Treehouse museum
After our trip to Brigham City we decided to stop in Ogden for a little while. Our first stop was at the Treehouse museum. The kids loved it! I loved that 1- it was not crowded and 2- I felt a million times better than the last time I was there (after my 1/2 marathon when I was sick, sick, sick).
Happy Hadley!
Cowgirl Jadyn wishing that she really could have her own horse!
Jax riding the bull
Scott concentrating really hard on drawing Jax a dino picture!
Maybe we should elect her from President.
After the museum we stopped by the trains. My kids love to go here and climb on top of the trains. Scott climbed up a few but seeing that he HATES heights wouldn't let them climb on the tops any more. This made Jadyn very upset and she decided to whine about it .... a lot-which led to her sitting and pouting on the train while we all got in the car. I am so glad that her moments being difficult are few and far between. She finally decided to come and join us in the car. It only took about 10 min before she apologized for acting that way. I've said it many times, but she is much better at apologizing than I am. I need to be more like her.
I am so glad that we were able to spend such a fun day as a family. I love when we can all just be together!

Brigham City Temple
Last Saturday we decided to go up to the Brigham City open house. We didn't have a reservation and I had heard that Labor Day was crazy busy-like 4 hour waits to go in-so I decided that it would be best if we got up super early to go. We were on the road by 7:00 and made it up to the temple at 8:30. I was shocked when we got up there and it wasn't busy at all. I knew Brigham City was having their Peach Days...which I have heard is really big in that town....and so I was thinking it would be at least a little busy at the temple. As we were walking up to the temple a couple walked past us and said "We just found out they aren't open till 1:00 because of the parade" Wait...what? Well that info wasn't on the website. That would explain why it wasn't busy. We were obviously not the only people with the bright idea to go early though. We decided to at least walk around the grounds but weren't sure we would be able to come back at 1:00 because of the kids. As we were leaving someone said that they were letting some people go through if they weren't going to be able to come back later. We figured we would give it a shot and Brand worked her magic and someone agreed to let us in. We waited about 10 min and ended up getting to walk through with a group of about 30 people. I am so glad we did. This temple is AMAZING!!!! The detail they put in is beautiful. I love the colors and details with the peach blossoms. Jadyn liked how beautiful it was. I was trying to explain things to jax (like how the baptismal font is not a hot tub) and he finally said "stop talking" and then followed it up with "can we get out of here". With all that talk I was glad that he liked the mirrors in the sealing room. I picked him up to see them and he thought it was so cool he wanted me to hold him up again and even said later how cool they were. Success-Jax found something he liked about it! ;)
I was thinking that I didn't go into a temple until I was 12 and went to do baptisms. I am grateful my kids have now been able to walk through 2 temples and I hope they know just how important the temple is to me and our family. I am grateful we have these places to go that are a refuge from the world and allow work to be done for us to be with our families forever.
Family pics like the ones above usually come only after many, many out takes and frustration! Thought I would share a few....
She pulls the darn bows off ever time!
We walked out at 9:55....just in time to sit on the curb and catch the parade. I am not a fan of parades so I rarely take the kids. We only stayed for about 30 min and the kids were ready to go!

Big Girl Car Seat
She is growing too fast! She looks like such a big girl in her new seat! This is the first car seat I have ever bought that was gender specific. I don't have to pass it down!

One day in May we played!
There was a day in May that I let Jade sluff school and we spent the day with Brand before she went to Africa. We went to the aquarium where Jade got to feed the stingrays and jax didn't...which was cause for a meltdown and me promising he could do it when he was 5. (I lived up to that promise already) We then took lunch and went to the park and let the kids play. It was so much fun and nice to get to spend the entire day just hanging out with the kids and Brand!

Labor Day Weekend
Ugh... I typed a whole post on Labor Day and somehow I just deleted it all. So Annoying. So, I guess I will give a shorter version of our great weekend:
-Friday: Had the day off from working so much in the week. Cleaned the house while Hads was at daycare and asleep. Jade came home and went over to Olivias. Jon called and asked us to meet them at Mcdonalds. Jax had fun playing and we had fun chatting with my mom and Jon. Jax's favorite part? The fact that Jon let us borrow the nintendo-the one from my childhood days! Jax played it with wyatt a few weeks ago and has been dying to borrow it. My favorite part about that is the game genie that came with it-making it so he was invincible or had a million lives. This mean the frustration level was kept at a minimum. Scott and Jax got to playing while I got to grocery shop alone. YIPEE!!
-Saturday: We had no real plans. I sooo love days like that. I got up and had a great run in overcast weather. Love that. Scott went shooting. Wyatt came to play with Jax and Liv came to play with Jade. Hadley slept so I decided to mow-since I am awesome like that (Scott would prefer I leave the mowing to him). We hung out most of the afternoon. When Scott got home we got the oil changed, walked through a Halloween store, stopped at my dad's, and then grabbed dinner and some movies. It is very rare that we have a Saturday with nothing planned and I totally enjoyed it-I think the kids did too!
-Sunday: We went to church and then left after the sacrament to pack and drive up to my uncle's cabin. The kids were so happy that we were going back up there. They were great on the drive up. We got up there by about 3:00 and spent the rest of the day just chatting while the kids played outside and begged for the zipline. The weather was perfect and it was nice to just relax. Hads hadn't slept more than an hour all day. She had a hard time getting to sleep but once she fell asleep she actually slept all night, which is a huge step from the last time we were there! We all watched Hunger Games later and no worries-We made sure we brought the kit-kats (What Catrina? You thought Scott said Kick A....?!?!? Well yeah, that too! HA HA HA)
-Monday: More hanging out, more zipline, more chatting, more eating (including Isaac and Jax who secretly ate "hundreds"-jaxons term- of reeses pb cups.) We left about 2:30 and decided to stop at classic on the way home because it was the last day we could use our passes. We only stayed till 6:00, when they closed, and it was great because there was hardly anyone there! Gotta love that! We were home, unpacked and all ready for bed by about 9:00 p.m.
I know I mentioned it a few times above, but it was a fantastic weekend. I love realizing weekends spent with my family. They are hard to come by, usually weekends are full of things to do and places to go so I really love when we get one like this!
