Jade's gymnastics

Jade had her end of the year gymnastics performance a few weeks ago. I LOVE watching her perform. She has come so far this past year and even though she sometimes says her teacher "pushes her too hard" she really loved gymnastics and wants to get better! Thanks to everyone who was able to come and watch her perform. Scott made it but had to leave shortly after for a baseball game-Jade was so excited that he made it!


I mentioned on the way home that I forgot to get a pic of her with her teacher. Her response? Jade: "It's ok. We don't need to"
Me: "Why"
Jade: "Well she was wearing the same thing as last year. Only this year she had a bow in her hair and last year she didn't. So we don't need another picture!"
I checked the picture. She was right...how she remembered it I will never know! She is so funny!

We stopped by Scott's game on the way home (it MAY have been my 1st game this year...a week before the season ended! Oops!)

Summer food!

I love all the Summer time produce: Corn, Watermelon, cantaloupe, tomatoes..... It's great!!!! As much as I love it I think Jax might love it even more! He LOVES corn on the cob and watermelon and wants to eat it every day! Here are pics from the first corn on the cob of the season!

Off Track Pedicures

Jade was off track from May 13th-June 13th!!! I love when she is off track. There is no rushing in the morning, no worrying about getting to school on time. It's so nice! When Jade is off track I let her choose two things that the two of us can go and do together. She LOVES to get pedicures-and especially loves the massage chairs! I love being able to spend one on one time with my kids!

Jade's Dragon award

Jadyn was able to do all the requirements this year for her schools Dragon award (miss less than 10 days, read 900 min a quarter, draw a poster on 3 out of the 7 habits, etc). She was so excited to go and get her award! I think she thought it might be something bigger than a pin, but she was still proud of herself and so was I! Good Job Jade!

Cowabunga bay

We have been wanting to try out Cowabunga Bay since they opened last year. We were able to get free tickets for an afternoon and we were really excited to go. It was a little chilly the day we went so it was AWESOME that the lazy river was as warm as bath water! The kids loved it. We were able to go with Melissa and her kids so Jade had lots of fun running around with the girls. Jax had fun swimming. I tried to take him on the slides and he screamed and cried while waiting in line. If the line had moved quickly I would have taken him down, but since it was a long line, and FREEZING, I finally said OK and we went back to swimming in the warm water.

For some reason the only pics I got was of the kids eating!

I am glad we had a chance to go, but I don't think we will go back any time soon. It is expensinve to go for just one day and is a place where my kids would want to be doing different things the entire time.

My own singing cowboy

This kid can be pretty crazy....and creative at times! He saw jade singing all afternoon so when Jade ditched the mic (to go change into a swimsuit???) Jax grabbed it and started singing himself. He will love me for taking pics of him, I'm sure of it!

My little Diva!

Jade just HAD to have this sleeping mask from the target $1 section. The first night she had it she wore it to bed. This picture makes me laugh because she really is asleep! She has got a lot of use out of it since-mostly for play, not sleeping!

Warner Easter Egg hunt!

My kids think it's fantastic to get egg hunts on both sides. Can't say I blame them! My mom's is always the Sat before Easter and always starts with a Yummy breakfast....to bad Scott has to miss out on all the festivities!
