Christmas week three

Alright- A quick Catch up!
Mon: We had Family Home Evening tonight. It was crazy. Jax didn't want to hold still, Jade was wanting to do something else. But....we did it. We talked about the real meaning of Christmas. We did our best. It counts!
Tues: Today I had a "bad mom" moment. I tried to run an errand while Jade was at Dance. I should know better. Dance is only 30 min. I didn't get back until 15 min after dance ended. O felt so bad. I walked in to get her and she was of course the only one there left from her class. I apologized to the teachers and then to Jade. I told her I was so sorry for not picking her up on time. I felt so bad. Jade was totally fine. She was like "It's ok mom, I don't mind!" I still felt bad. Anyway, we went to the aquarium after dance. It was the first time we were there with Jax when he could walk and he loved being able to just run around. Jade also had gymnastics that night so I took JAx to the gym and he played in the daycare while Scott took Jade to gymnastics. I hadn't been to the gym for so long and it was nice to go back to class. Jax had fun playing too. Scott came to pick up Jax and Jade decided to stay. It was so cute because I thought she would just color during our weight class but she wanted to do everything with us. She worked out the whole time! She was so funny! I loved having her there. We ran to the mall afterwards and grabbed some dinner with Brand and Chipo, shopped a little, let Jade play a minute and then headed home. It was a great day (besides the bad mommy moment!)
Wed: Today we had to get Jade's cyst taken off. Brand came to watch Jax. The dr had prescribed a valium for Jade because she was so worried about the apt. She did get a little loopy before had and I do think it calmed her a little bit. Before we went she kept saying she didn't want to lay down to get it done, but wanted to sit on her dad's lap. Luckily, they were totally ok with that. She cried (screamed) during the numbing part, but was actually very good and held still even while she was screaming. Once it was numb, she was really ok. I held a book in front of her face while they actually took the cyst out. She did really, really well and it was over in about 15-20 min. They gave her a bracelet and a beanie baby before we left-so that made her very happy. On the way home she said "Mom-you said I have to get shots before I go to Kindergarten right?" I told her yes, but it was not for awhile. She said she didn't want shots and was getting upset about it (I think the Valium was making her feel weird) I kept telling her to just not worry about it. Then she said "It's ok, I just won't go then!" So no Kindergarten for her! :) She fell asleep on the way home, but woke up when we brought her inside. She laid down until about 8:00. The pharmacist said the Valium would make her VERY tired for at least 12 hours but from 8:00 on she was actually pretty wired and didn't fall asleep until Midnight! I'm glad we got the cyst out and hopefully it won't grow back.
Thurs: What a fun day! Tonight was Jade's first dance recital's. I was so excited-so was she. She couldn't wait to dance on the "big stage". She did such a great job and did the whole dance. It was so fun to watch and we were able to have lots of people there to watch her. Thanks everyone for coming! We went to dinner afterwards and I was reminded why we don't go out to nice places very often-never- with the kids. It costs a lot of money and is pretty miserable! :) Oh well, part of life. We'll just stick with Chik-fil-a for now! ;)
Fri: Today was a blizzard! It snowed all day. I have been loving all the snow we are getting lately. It's awesome and helps with the feeling of Christmas! Tonight we were supposed to go out for our "sibling" Christmas Dinner. I think this is just the 2nd year we have done it. We decided that rather than give gifts we were just going to all go out together. Unfortunately not everyone was able to make it this year. Josh had to work and Jon and Ahsley were stuck at their house because of the snow. Scott had a baseball clinic so it ended up being me, Jake and Catrina, and Meg and Ryan. We went to Johnny Carino's and had a good time. MY mom was nice enough to watch all the kids (9!) and had a fun little Christmas party with them. Thanks mom!
Sat: My Dad's birthday! Jade and I went shopping with him for a bit in the morning before we met all of my family at Zuppa's for lunch. My dad was nice enough to pay for lunch for everyone. Not sure how he got away with that considering it was HIS birthday. I did try to pay for him, but it didn't work. Thanks for lunch Dad!!! Afterwards Scott took the kids home and my dad and I went to the "Christmas Carol" at Hale Centre Theatre. I really liked it. It was fun to get to spend a lot of the day with my dad. I love him and appreciate all he does for us! I met Scott at the baseball academy afterwards to pick up the kids and then we went to the mall for a little while. When Scott got home later that night I ended up going back out shopping so I could get the last few things for Christmas and go grocery shopping. Walmart at 11:00 at night is not fun!
Sun: I have to give a shout out to my mom. I volunteered last Sunday to bring sugar cookies to all the nursery classes. My mom was nice enough to make them for me yesterday. THANKS MOM!!!! I love you! They were a hit and the kids loved decorating them. Sacrament was fun because Jade for to sing with the primary kids. She had been singing "Christmas Bells" all month so I am glad she was finally able to put her skills to work! After the kids napped we went ove to Scott's Dad's for the Sommer Christmas party. It started with FAmily pics which Jax was not very cooperative about. Oh well, that's about all you can expect for an 18 month old! The party was fun. We ate and played games. The day ended well with this: Jade fell asleep on the way home at 6:45!!! Jax was asleep by 7:10. It was a great night as we just relaxed and hung out with no interruptions!

J's cute Christmas Dress. Jax wouldn't hold still long enough!

Jax at the party. Buckled in his seat to try to keep him in the same place for just a few minutes!

More Christmas Fun!

Monday Dec 8th:
For FHE we ran a few errands (costco) and then took the kids to the Deseret Industries Bishop store house place to donate toys. We explained to Jadyn why we were donating and then Jade and I took them inside. She saw all the toys inside and saw lots she wanted. I explained again why they were all there and she was really good about it and happy to put the toys in the box. We then took some food items and donated those as well. We love to do things for others at this time of year. So many people are struggling right now and although things are tight for us as well, there are so many others who have so much less. I just wish I could to more. It was a good experience for Jade though- even if she still doesn't quite understand.
When we got home we made the famous gingerbread house. Jade loves doing this. She remembered several times throughout the year the fact that we made one last year and has been waiting and waiting to make ours again. Last year we had to assemble the house but after having a preassembled house the year before, we decided that was the only way to go. It was quick and easy and we all had such a fun time putting it together.

Tuesday 9th: After Jade's dance class we went to the mall to see Ryan Shupe's Christmas concert. We met Ashley and Wyatt there as well. It was soooo crowded. There were no seats down below so we just sat upstairs and watched over the rail. Well.....all of us watched upstairs except Jade. She needed a front row seat so she walked herself downstairs and sat on the floor in the front row. The girl kills me. She's not shy by any means. We had a fun time, but the mall was just so crazy!

If you look close you can see Jade-in the purple-right in front

Wyatt and Jax liked the gumball machines more than the concert.

When Scott got home we took the kids to "Color Me Mine" to paint a few things. It was an interesting experience. Jade had a great time. The Lady in charge was just way too over bearing and Jax had to stay in a high chair-which he didn't love, so we tried to be in and out as quickly as possible.
Later that night I went to our ward's Relief Society Christmas party. It was really fun. I still feel like the "new person" in the ward and somewhat uncomfortable at times, but I am so glad I went. I really love my ward. Me being uncomfortable sometimes is not from the way anyone treats me, it's just trying to find my nich. It was a great night though. They asked me to share a memorable Christmas of mine and after listening to a few other ladies I decided to share about our first Christmas with Jadyn and finding out the beginning of Dec that she was ok and how excited we were and how blessed we felt and then going to Festival of Trees that same night and realizing that although we were able to have Jade be ok and healthy, there are many children who are not. I realized then that the true blessing is our Savior and knowing how wonderful it is to know that he knows and loves each of us and is with us through all trials and just because some families have lost their children or suffered serious illness, it does not mean the Lord is not aware of them or blessing them. He is here for all of us. He was born for all of us and the Christmas that this happened I reflected on that a lot and it helped my testimony grow stronger.
My plan was to go finish my Christmas after the party. I stopped at home to check on things and just as I was getting to walk out the door Jade woke up. She had fallen asleep on the way home from the paint place and I was hoping she would stay asleep but it didn't work. So by 9:00 she was wide awake. I ended up taking her shopping with me! We didn't get home until about 11:30 and I'm sure people were wondering what the heck is that child out so late for. But she slept from 5:30-9:00 and was not tired at all. We had a good time.

Wed December 10th: We didn't have any Christmas plans tonight so we went ahead and watched the Nativity cartoon movie. Jade loves this movie and she knows every word to the song at the beginning. It's so cute to watch her sing it. I try to teach her (and Jax too, but come on-he's just too little) about the true reason we celebrate Christmas. This movie is good to help her understand the birth of Christ.

Thurs December 11th: Today we didn't do much for Christmas, but something great happened for Jade: Zach went to gymnastics with her. Seriously, it made her day. She was so excited for him to come and wanted to show him everything. I think he is going to start going with her at the beginning of the year and oh my....Jade will be in Heaven!

Friday December 12th: Scott went to a basketball game so it was just the kids and I on our Christmas adventure. We went and got pics with Santa first. This Santa is close by and is outside at a tree lot. He is such a great Santa and has his two real reindeer with him. He is so cute with the kids and takes a lot of time with them-if the kid permits it! :) The greatest thing is you only have to donate $5 and you can take as many pics as you want with him. Also-there is never a wait to see him. Jax still doesn't love Santa. He will be so glad when Christmas is over and I quit making him try to sit on that strange looking man's lap! When we left Santa we drove around and looked at residential Christmas lights. There is a house we went to last year that we will probably go see every year. Check him out at Christmasutah.com. His house is amazing. The kids got out of the car at that house and loved walking around. We drove past about 8 houses before we decided it was time to go home. Jax and Jade both loved driving around. It was a great night.

Sat December 13th: We were having Scott's Sibling family party in the evening so I needed to get the house clean. Doing that with both kids home is a VERY difficult thing to do. So....... I sent them out with their dad for a few hours. He took the to the grocery store and to the aquarium. They had a great time and I got everything done. It was so nice. The party that night was so much fun. Brand brought Lewis and his sister Chipo. It was so fun adding more people to the party. We ate dinner and then played Bingo. Disney bingo is a tradition for us. We all bring little gifts and win prizes as we go. I must say that I think Brand, Jade and I liked it a whole lot more more than the others, but since we plan the party-the Bingo will continue! We then decorated cookies (thanks Uncle Mike). They were so good! After the cookies we moved on to the Wii. And there we stayed.....for 4 hours! We had so much fun playing. Jade boxed again and loved it. I must say we spent a lot of those 4 hours playing wii fit. It is so AWESOME!!!! Overall we had a great night with the family. We started this tradition 3 years ago and it will last a long time!

Cookie Making!

Playing bingo and Jade doing Brand's hair

Sunday 14th: Jade and I went to our Stakes Choir Christmas Concert tonight. My mom sang in her choir so it was fun to see her sing. I really love Christmas music. It has a way of bringing lots of Christmas Spirit.

18 months? Off to nursery we go

Jax will be 18 months on Saturday. I took advantage one week early of this fact and my cute- but not so quiet in church- little boy was dropped off to nursery. What do you all think. Was he like his social sister who HATED nursery and cried every time we left? That right-Nope. He saw the toys and walked right on it. I checked on him a few times and he seemed ok. When I picked him up he was being held and I could tell he had been crying a little, but the nursery leader said he was ok so I went with that. Now....we will all cross our fingers that the eagerness to play continues. Again, we were not so lucky with Jade so we can only have lots of hope and then wait and see. I love ya Jax but I must say that you being in Nursery may make Church a whole lot easier for both of us!

Monday Morning.....(warning: A gross pic below)

Last Monday morning went a little like this:
I woke up to the norm: Jaxon gross and dirty with poop everywhere. I put him in the bathtub. When he got out-and since he had already pooped-his little bum was red so I decided to let him just hang out for a minute. He had gone in to Jade's room so I went in to get him so I could get him dressed. Unfortunately, this is what I found:

I was stunned and stared at him for a second before I grabbed him and back to the bath we went. I wasn't sure what I was going to do about that mess or the best way to clean it. After I got Jax out of the bath and diapered I took the kids down for breakfast. While they were down there I ran back upstairs to go start cleaning the mess. Jade came upstairs and said "Mom, that was me-that sound. I spilled the whole bag or rice krispies." Great. I went downstairs to find this:

Ok. Fine, mess upstairs was more troublesome. Back up I went with the kids. Jade came running into my room. "Mom.....he's in the bathroom and he's making a MESS!!!" What? I thought I shut all the doors.....nope, he got into the bathroom and did this:Needless to say.....I was very happy to take them to daycare and go home and work in quiet. :)

And.....I am hoping tomorrow morning goes a bit more smoothly!

Love ya kids!

Could there be a cuter Santa Picture?

I'll post more about the days of Christmas soon, but I love this pic!

I am SOOOOOO Tired of POOP!!!!

Gross, I know but reading the word is no where near as disgusting as cleaning it off the hands, crib, sheets, clothes and wall of your toddler EVERY. SINGLE. MORNING. UUUUGGGGHHHH

I don't get it. I just don't. I am thinking of better solutions. I think I will go and buy some one piece pj's and then will have scott change him in the morning while he is still asleep and see if that helps. I just can't handle it anymore.

7 days in a row! YAY!

Just to check in.........7 days in a row of working out. I think it was last night that I ended up working out from 10:00-11:00 p.m. but nonetheless, it got done. Tonight I just did a stretch video which was actually really nice and I plan on continuing Sunday stretch/yoga workout. All right, 24 more days in a row to go!

25 days of Christmas fun!

I love the month of December. I love the music, the lights, the festivities and hanging out with friends and family. I think I mentioned this already. Anyway, I decided I wanted to do something Christmas"y" every day. So, here is a brief catch up on the past 5 days!
Dec 1st: We went to dinner with Scott's family and then went to a live Nativity. It was pretty short, which was actually a good thing because I was holding Jax. He actually watched most of it. Jade was sitting in the back at the beginning and then walked right up to the front down and sat with some other kids. Too funny. Afterwards she asked if the baby was real. I told her it was a doll and she asked if she could go see. She went on the stage and "Mary" asked if she wanted to hold the baby. Jade said yes and Mary said "You are such a good little mommy! You are so good at holding that baby!" Jade smiled and we walked away only to have Jade say "I am not going to be a mom!" Seriously she is starting to say that WAY to much. I don't get it! Anyway, it was a fun night and a great way to start the 25 days of Christmas-with a reminder or why we really celebrate it!
Dec 2nd: Jadyn made a cute snowman craft out of foam stickers and I celebrated today by "exchanging" gifts with Cher. Nothing like a hot stone massage and Cheesecake factory for dinner. We started last year going out rather than exchanging gifts. Ever had a hot stone massage? It was AWESOME. We go to Cameo College and I will admit I TOTALLY lucked out. The lady who did the hot stone massage was a licensed massage therapy of 25 years. She had just decided to go back and get her estitician (sp?) license as well. So the massage was great and the dinner-well, it was pretty much just as great. The egg rolls were delicious and the salad was huge! Celebrating with friends is better than ANY gift. Love ya Cher!
Dec 3rd: Festival of Trees. I go every year and love it! Jade and Jax were pretty good. Jax enjoyed seeing all the lights and Jade loved the entertainment more than anything. She wanted to watch the singers and dancers more than see the trees! She keeps asking when she can go on stage. I think if I told her to go up there and join them, she probably would have. Seriously. I will always have a special place in my heart for PRimary Children's. It started with the year I volunteered there and grew stronger after Jade had all her issues when I was pregnant. It is an amazing Hospital.

Dec 4th: Alyssa's Dance Christmas Concert. We went with my mom to Lyssa's Dance concert. Besides getting a little lost on the way there, we had a good time. Jade liked the dances and again wanted to go up on stage! She enjoyed hanging out with the boys too-of course! Lyssa did great!
Dec 5th: Ward Christmas party. We stopped by my mom's on the way to pick up Jax's shoes and she offered to keep Jax at her house while we had dinner at the party. Knowing that feeding Jax with no high chair would be an interesting feat, I took her up on the idea. I ran back and grabbed him after dinner so that he could come see Santa (ummmm....I think he would have skipped seeing Santa if he had a choice) and run around and play. Jade had a wonderful time playing with her little friend Bella. They ran around holding hands and playing all night long. Every time I would suggest going they would say "2 more minutes?!?!"

Dec 6th: Today was a bit nuts. I wanted to go to Gardner Village with the kids so they could see the elves. I thought it sounded fun and Jade loves to go there. Well, I also decided that while we were there, I would try to get some Christmas pics of the kids. Why I ever thought that was a good idea, who knows. Jax is at a HORRIBLE age to get pictures. He doesn't sit still for 5 seconds, let alone long enough to pose for a pic. Jade was trying to be patient but really, it was asking a lot for her to sit and just smile at the camera for minutes on end while we tried to get Jax to sit and possibly smile. Yeah it wasn't fun and it was cold. We all needed a break so we grabbed a snack and went inside for a little bit and then I let the kids walk around. Jax loved that until he fell down and couldn't get his hands out to catch him (think Christmas Story) and smacked his face on the ground. It bled all over and it was time to be done. I really don't know what I was thinking. I need to take them back another day just to see the elves. Sorry kids.

Jade was originally going to go to Belva's family Christmas party with her and Grandpa Roy. Unfortunately for Roy, he ended up in the hospital the night before and had to stay all weekend. (luckily he is ok. They were worried about his heart, but it turned out as good as it could be and he can control the issues with diet and exercise) I was just going to have Jade stay home but Belva insisted it was ok and that they were excited for her to go and Jade was very upset at the thought of not going. So....Belva came and picked her up and off she went. Jax had fallen asleep on the way home and went right to bed. Well, what's a mom to do when one kid is gone and the other asleep? NAP!!!! I figured I'd get an hour in since Jax had already been asleep for an hour. I woke up at 3:45 when Belva dropped Jade off. I had slept for 2.5 hours and Jax was still asleep! Maybe that was part of the problem during pics? Jade had a great time at the party and I'm glad she was able to go.

When Jax finally woke up (a 4 hour nap) we decided to go run some errands. We went shopping and the kids were soooo good. I was amazed. Then we went and got dinner and I let the kids play. Afterwards we went with Meg and her kids and walked through their Neighborhood Luminary. My kids were so happy. Jax-because we were outside and there were lights everywhere and Jade-because she was with "the boys". The first house we came upon had a family singing Christmas songs-in a microphone. I was a little behind Jade and by the time I walked up to the house she was already singing in the mic. It was hilarious! It was a fun time.

We decided to stop by the hospital on our way home. Roy enjoyed seeing the kids. We didn't stay very long, but I'm glad we went.

Whew....long day. Overall it was a good day and the kids had a fun day.

Dec 7th: Today we went to church. And it was an effort getting myself and both kids out the door (Scott was out of Town) Bless my mom for taking Jax for part of church! We napped, went to my mom's. Church is a way to celebrate Christmas-right? Hope so, because they was the extent of my Christmas doing for the day!

Sleeping Babies

I love sleeping babes!

Gas Prices

OK, just because I use my blog from a Journal type thing, I felt the need to document this:

4 months ago (Au 08) I was paying $4.20 a gallon for gas.
Today- I am filling up for $1.47 a gallon.

I don't get it-I'll just enjoy it while it lasts.

BUSY life and BUSY Jax

I love Christmas time. I love doing lots of fun things with the kids and feeling the excitement and spirit that only Christmas can bring. Because of that, I tend to be busy in December. Really busy-and I like it. This year I am liking it for another reason-Jaxon is then out of my house and isn't doing his destructiveness that I have to clean up. This is what usually happens at my house:

Climbing, climbing, climbing. Right now his table is his cup of tea

Then he destroys anything that may have been on the table. This day he found my gum, opened every piece, chewed a few and then held a death grip on the rest

So the last few days I leave the chairs against the wall. Tired of Jax on the table

If there is a crayon within reach, he will find it. He LOVES them. Not to color, he just likes to hold them and eat them. Holding them might seem harmless (and now that he walks it's not a huge deal) but when he was just crawling he would carry crayons everywhere-including across my white carpet. The worst was when he slid down my stairs with a red crayon in his hand.

We put child latches on a lot of our drawers when we moved in. Jax has managed to find EVERY drawer without a latch. So here is Jax after he reached in the drawer and pulled out the box of child latches. I told scott instead of letting Jax play with the child locks, let's just put them on! So we did! YAY!!!! No more messy bathroom. And here was my best effort at distracting him. Signing time. It always worked for Jade when she was little. I could know that if I needed to get something done she would watch a signing time for 30 min. HAH! It works for Jax for MAYBE 30 seconds, but usually not even that long.

Yep, I'm one of "those" parents. My kid is 17 months old and I haven't even thought about taking his binks away yet. They are as heavenly to me as they are him! We usually throw 3 or 4 in bed with him at night-so he can find one if needed. He always throws them out in the morning when he wakes up and we leave the room without them. Often he will go upstairs in the afternoon and crawl under his crib, collect all his binks, and come downstairs with a handful. It's pretty funny

December Challenge

OK, so I was reading on someone's blog, that she was going to do a December Challenge of working out at least 30 min every day in December. I try to work out every day (minus Sunday) for an hour, but really? The past three months I would say I averaged 3-4 times a week. I need to loose weight-but for Dec I am going to focus on not gaining any. I will weigh myself Dec 1st and then again Jan 1st and hopefully it will not show a gain. So in an effort do so, I am challenging myself to at least a 30 min workout everyday. I will just walk on Sunday's. Something about a hard workout doesn't feel right to me on Sunday when I am supposed to be "resting". Anyone want to join in on my challenge? Or make another challenge in an effort to avoid gaining weight over the holiday's? :) And I didn't forget to post about Thanksgiving-just need to upload a few photos first!

Decorate the tree? It's a toss up

Jax walks 100% of the time now and because of it, this is what the shelf in my computer room looks like. It began being nicely decorated on all 5 shelves. He took care of undoing the 3 he could reach. Wonder what our Christmas tree (which will be going in the same spot as this shelf) will look like?!?!?! Oh well. I love his cute waddle walk and he is loving his new way to get around as well. He practically runs now and even tries to jump. My mom watched Jax and Jade tonight for about an hour and later said "Little Jaxon is just so funny." I said "you mean a little wild and a little craz?" She laughed and said "No, but he is sure going to give you a run for your money!" We later asked if that was code for Jaxon being naughty. She said of course not! :) Let's just say he is stubborn, determined, strong willed, has a loud scream and gets into EVERYTHING. I told Scott that we made need to request a switch with the next baby (years from now....) They need Scott's personality (a little more calm than mine) and my looks (not that I think that is a good thing, but both kids look soooo much like their dad) I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens! It doesn't help that Jadyn told us last night that she loves to make Jax scream...... Love both my kids to pieces. They make life so dang fun! :)

Haircuts!

Jaxon has needed a haircut for awhile. The spikes on top of his had have gotten VERY long. We decided to take him to Cookie Cutters after hearing great things about them. I wanted Jadyn to get her's cut as well and she said absolutely not! Fine, whatever. We walked in to the place and she quickly changed her mind after she saw the cute cars you get to sit in and the DVD player at every station. They had a long wait though, so we made an appointment for today. Jade was so excited about it all day. She decided before we got there that she wanted it short. I was surprised, but again, whatever. It's one of those things I will let her decide. She chose a picture of hair that was at about the shoulder. Jade's ended up being a little shorter, but we all like it, she is happy with it, and it looks adorable on her. Jade was telling the girl cutting it how long she wanted it and all these things and the girl said "Gosh, I think you could tell me everything without your mom even being here" to which said "Yep, I can tell it myself. My mom could go home!" Awesome. Independent at 4!
Jax on the other hand.....I told the girl we spike it, just wanted a trim. All was going well, she was cutting it with the scissors on top and it looked good. Then for some reason (guess would be she started cutting it too short on top) she just decided to take the clippers to it. So Jax looks like he could join the army tomorrow. He's still cute though and his won't take long to grow back a little. :)

Disney: Day 3

Day 3 and we were all still excited for Disney. Well.....I will admit that it didn't start off real well, with the whole credit card drama but we were excited all the same. We started off the day in Fantasyland. We went to Peterpan first-seeing that the line only gets longer their as the day goes on. Must the rides were pretty open so we rode a bunch of rides in Fantasy land fairly quickly. We were then going to head over to Pixie Hollow-which is the new exhibit with Tinkerbelle. The problem was the line for Tinkerbelle was just like the line for the Princesses-90 min wait. Yeah we were not about to wait. Jade was not very happy about that at all. We walked to the end of the line and you could see Tinkerbelle talking to some kids. So we told Jadyn to say hi and wave. She did and she was happy. She saw Tinkerbelle and thought we didn't miss it after all. Perfect! We headed over to Toon Town and went in to Minnie's house, then we went and saw Mickey Mouse! We rode the toon town roller coaster which- of course Jade loved! Jade, Brand, and I went and rode a few big rides (Matterhorn, Space Mountain) and then met up with Kennedee, Rachelle and her mom at the Tikki Room. I think of all the times I have been to Disney in the past 11 years (6 times) I never went to the Tiki Room. Probably has something to do with the fact that I am only ever there for a day and would rather ride rides. Being there for 3 days makes you have time for other things. So we grabbed us some YUMMY Dole pineapple ice cream and went in to the Tiki room. Then-I remembered why I have never gone! :) It was a nice break though. Afterwards we went on the Jungle Cruise which was cute. After a few more rides in Disney we headed back over to California Adventure. I thought Jade would want to ride tower of terror again, but when I asked she said "No, not today. It makes me nervous. I think it might make my tummy hurt!" Two times was enough for her. (Though yesterday she said "Can we go back to Disneyland and ride Tower of Terror?" So she's not scared of it, which is good) While in California Adventure Rachelle and I went on a ride while the girls were with Brandee and Rachelle's mom. We waited in line and when we went to get on the ride we were facing where the girls were sitting and noticed both girls were crying their eyes out. We looked at each other like "What in the world happened in the last 10 min?" It was funny-well kind of. We got off quickly and took care of the issues. We rode a few more rides in California Adventure before they closed. Kennadee had fallen asleep and it was dinner time so they decided to call it a day and head out. Brandee and I-being the crazy Disney Fanatics that we are-decided we would get in as many rides as possible in out last two hours. We went on Buzz Light year, Thunder Mountain, Finding Nemo and Pirates. By the time 8:00 came we were exhausted! And Jade, well you know what happened-she was out 2 min after we got off our last ride! We hadn't had dinner yet. We were tired, hungry, and really looking forward to getting back to our room, eating, and relaxing. Ugh-those dang cockroaches had another idea. After Brand saw 3 right when she walked in and turned on the light, I called downstairs. No, I don't want to change rooms, just send someone up to spray. They did-right away. Problem was when they moved the fridge there were more. The sprayer said he hadn't seen them like this before. Great. The fumes were disgusting and the bugs even more. So we moved. Jade-still asleep in the stroller, stayed fast asleep. So getting the food and relaxing took a little longer than we hoped, but it came and we were happy. Good day. Definitely another good day
The girls in the tea cups. Rachelle and I sat this one out!
Happy to be at Minnie's table
Cute girls with their stuffed animals
Mom and J (if that isn't a fake smile, I'm not sure what is)
All of us with the mouse himself!
Jade and Brand after Space Mountain. The smile shows how she felt about the ride
Just a tad bit wet after Space Mountain
Yummy!
Jasmine and Aladin. And there was no touching the beads this year! Whew! :)
Pooh and Jade. Right after this picture Winnie took Jade's carebear from me and motioned for me to take his picture with the bear. It was pretty cute!
On the swings. We were getting tired!
I love this Christmas Tree. It was fun to go each day and see what Christmas Decorations they had added over the night. I hope the next time we go it will be the week after Disney so that we can see all the decorations up.
