School Dance

Jadyn's school had a dance teacher for the second half of the year. The day before school got out they had a little program at Bingham to perform. It was very interesting dancing but it looked like the kids had fun, I think! ;) Jade said she didn't love it because it wasn't her "style" of dancing! She did a great job though. It must be mentioned that earlier this day Scott, Jaxon and I all went over to the school and volunteered for Field Day! It's always fun to be around my kids in their school environment. It also must be said that I don't know how teacher's do it! We had a good time with the kids though....even if bean bag lady was a little fiesty and upset that I moved the kids to the next activity 1 minute before her cell phone said it was time! Ah....good times!

Jadyn, Autumn and Keahlani
 Jaxon was definitely entertained
My mom came to watch Jade too!

Meg's triathalon

My Sister ran a triathalon a few weeks ago. It was the first Sat in months that we didn't have dance stuff and I was so excited to just have a relaxing day. I ran 8 miles that morning and then wanted to go see Megan finish her race. We went up to the lake with my mom and my sister's kids. Meg still had about 3 miles left to run when we got up there. I hadn't changed yet from my running clothes so I decided to run about a mile with her at the end. I have NO idea how she did the race. It was super hot that day and she finished around noon. It's always so inspiring for me to watch people do races and achieve what they have been working so hard for! Megan did awesome and ended up coming in 2nd in her age group! So cool!

The kids played at the lake while waiting for Megan to finish (Thanks to my mom for watching all of them)

The kids all stretching with Megan after she finished.

Fireworks at Grandma's!

Scott and I are not big fans of crowds. I can handle them more than he can, but I don't love it at all. Because of this we usually avoid things like park fireworks. Lucky for my kids, my grandma lives across from the park so we can park at her house and avoid the crowds of people!
I sure do love my grandma. She is almost 82 and is so amazing! She could run circles around me and knows how to do everything. She can fix anything, is a fantastic decorator, has a solution for everything and is so kind, loving and non-judgmental! Love her. She is also so good with my kids and Hadley loves her....and especially loves the black kitty my grandma is holding in the picture below.

The Aviary

Last week I thought it would be fun to take the kids to Tracy Aviary and Liberty Park. We got to the aviary and there was a bird show soon so we waited 20 min for that only to find out that the show was only about 10 min because they are working on their regular show building to build something bigger. After the show we went into one building that had about 5 birds and after that Jaxon and Jadyn were both bored and wanting to leave. I agreed that it wasn't great so we decided to just leave so that they could go play in the water. We took the long walk over to the water only to realize that it was broken and there was no water. Everyone was hot, tired and hungry and we decided we would just eat lunch in the car and head to Classic. Only when we got in the car I realized I didn't have my coupons. Sooo....we gave up and decided it was time to go home. Luckily Jon came and took my kids down to our pool for awhile and since Hads decided to only sleep about 45 min we joined them soon after! Whew....long, interesting day but the kids were great!

Monsters Inc

My Uncle Dave took us all to see Monsters University for his birthday! We decided to try taking Hadley with us. She lasted about half of the movie and then got bored and we ended up taking her out for awhile. Jadyn and Jaxon both loved the movie and Scott and I thought it was pretty good too! Thanks to David and my grandma for taking us and also for dinner and swimming afterwards. Sure do love my fam!

She loves to color

Miss Hadley loves to color. If she sees a pen she will grunt and point until we hand it to her. The problem is she seems to like to color on her hands, legs and clothes much more than paper! We are working on it!

She wasn't very happy with me for taking away the pen....hence the folded arms and mean look! :)

Our pet for a day

My kids have wanted a turtle for a LONG time so imagine their happiness when Scott brought one home from work! What!?! I guess someone at work found it at the park and brought her back to the shop and Scott decided to bring it home. The kids were THRILLED but I was not. Scott took them to Pet Smart to see how much it would cost to keep it. After finding out they are hard to keep (red ear water turtle) and very expensive to start up, I told him thee was no way we could keep it. Jadyn cried. She was so sad but it just wasn't going to happen. Luckily Pet Smart gave scott the number to a reptile rescue guy. Scott talked to him on the phone later that night and found out this guy lives in Delta Utah and has over 450 animals he has rescued. He told Scott he would have someone come get the turtle and bring it to him. Because the turtle was so big he was sure he could just let it live in his pond with the crocodiles! Weird! After hearing that this guy would take care of it, Jadyn was much happier! We got to keep it over night so the kids loved that! We didn't realize until later that night that the turtle was missing a leg! We all felt best that someone else was going to take care of it!

Mother's day

We had a great Mother's day. Scott and the kids gave me breakfast in bed, cards and a kitchen aid blender. We had a nice day at church (and I had a break from nursery). I got to take a nice long nap and then we had a great dinner at Catrina's house. I am very grateful for everyone in the picture above. I have the best mom, sister and sister-n-law and love my nieces too (we missed lyssa)! I am so lucky to have so many wonderful examples in my life including my grandma! I am so grateful that I get to hold the title of "mom" in my life! As exhausting as it can be, I wouldn't trade it for anything!
