Sommer Grandkid pictures

For Mother's day Belva wanted pics of all the grandkids. I think they turned out great! It was great because my kids were great and they were actually easy pics. It was amazing! :)

Jady wanted a pic of her own.

August Cabin Time

We went up to Jon's cabin in August. Jake and his family came up as well and we had a great time. Jaxon and Scott fished and caught Crawfish....which Jaxon loves SO SO much! The gross part about that is he loves to bring them back to the cabin and play with them, build them little forts etc. It's disgusting really! The kids went down the river on the tubes. Hadley went down with Uncle Jon and cried the whole time. She liked it....she just didn't want to go with him. Hads of course also LOVED playing with the dogs and spent some time on the swing set. Jadyn and Emma just played together and hung out. We also made sure to make some time to go get English chips from the little gas station. Before we left on Sunday the kids wanted to do the zipline. They all had a great time. I then decided that I should do it too. Bad decision. I went and then the bar turned and my grip went and BAM I fell into the river. It hurt...a lot! I'm lucky I didn't get more hurt on the rocks. It could have been bad! It was also pretty hilarious and I still to this day wish someone had caught it on video! I have no idea where all my pics are from the trip....like pictures where people are actually looking at the camera! Weird.

Anyway, we left on Sunday afternoon and made it home around 4:00. We unloaded and then got ready to go to my mom's for dinner. As we were leaving I realized I couldn't find my wallet. I looked EVERYWHERE and just couldn't find it. I was freaking out. Did I leave it at the gas station, Did I leave it at the cabin? I had no idea. I was sick....and Scott was mad. ;( I have this knack for loosing thing. It irritates Scott. I just always have to much to do going on in my brain and it makes me scatterbrained....which makes me loose things. Ugh. We went to my mom's but I was grumpy from the wallet and then Jake said something about the river and I just wasn't in the mood. I told Scott I just needed to leave and go back home and look for the wallet. I asked my mom if we could leave the kids there while we went home to look. After we got there and I knew for sure it wasn't there I decided I needed to go back up to the cabin. That night. I had to know if it was there. It couldn't be anywhere else. So....Scott, mad but loving me enough to not let me go by myself ;), said he was coming with me. We went to my mom's to get the kids and my mom said to just go and leave the kids with her...which was very nice of her. We left to go get keys from my Uncle and as we pulled out of my mom's neighborhood the van door flew open and out went our DVD player-just flew into the road. A car barely missed it. We may have said a bad word at this point. Scott pulled over and I jumped out and grabbed it. Ugh. We both had a small melt down in the car, I cried because I was frustrated and then we felt better and actually had a great time. I was planning on watching a movie while Scott drove but we a  actually just talked the whole way up and back! I think we talked more that night than we did in the last month put together! ;) When we got to the cabin we looked around and didn't see the wallet. We looked under the bed and under the desk and nothing. And then.....in between the mattress and foot board was my WALLET!!!!!!!!! The relief! I was so happy! We made it home by about 12:30. My mom called me on the way home and I talked to Jade. She was crying and told my mom she didn't feel good but my mom said she thought she was just missing us. Jadyn could tell the stress I was feeling and I think we left in such a rush she felt off. Once we told her we found the wallet she felt better and was able to go to sleep. We made a late night stop at Arbys on the way home for a drink. Whew....
The next day was our anniversary. Because we had the kids stay with my mom Sunday we decided to just stay home for our anniversary. We said we ended up having our "date" driving 5 hours alone together the day before! ;)

Sleeping Kids

I love sleeping kid pics. They just looks so nice and calm while sleeping. After looking through pictures I have decided that my bed must be better than theirs...seeing that they all migrate there in the night! It's a really good thing we upgraded to a king!

My Birthday...35

I had a birthday....35! I swear I don't feel 35! The day started off a little rough. I took the day off to hang out. Jax was going to a friends house to play and Hads had daycare so I decided that Jade and I should go and get pedicures. The problem is that as we were walking out to get in the car I realized that I had given my van key (yes, we only had one) to Scott the day before and I forgot to get it back....and he was at work and I couldn't get a hold of him. I tried to think of a million ways to figure things out but finally called my friend Danielle and she took me to drop Hadley off and then to my mom's school so that Jade and I could borrow her car. That became a little crazy when I realized she needed her car sooner than I thought but eventually we got it all worked out. Jade and I were able to go and get our pedicures. Jadyn loved it. I, on the other hand, decided that I have to admit I don't really like them at all. LOL Seeing that I hate filing....and cuticle clippings and all that I really only ever went for the painting and massage...which is only about the last 15 min of the pedicure! Anyway, we had a good time together all the same. Afterwards we went and picked up Hadley and headed home. I had plans to take a nice nap and that was foiled when a guy from the cable company came by to move my work cable. The problem with that was that when the lady from work told me my apt was on the 18th I told her I wasn't going to be home that day and that I needed a different day. Well....I guess she never passed the message along and the guy was on my doorstep. I was REALLY ready to get my desk moved upstairs so as much as I wanted a birthday nap, I let him in so we could get it done. The other problem with him coming was that I wasn't ready. My room had laundry in it and hadn't been vacuumed. I was totally embarrassed about that but decided to get over that too. It was actually a great bady present getting it done!
I decided awhile ago that I wanted a year family pass to Thanksgiving point for my birthday. So....when Scott got home we headed down to the new Childrens Museum. We had a great time and I think we will definitely get our $ out of the pass. We grabbed dinner at Costa Vida and headed home.
It was a slightly chaotic day but it ended up being a great day and I was able to spend it with my favorite people. Here's to 35!
