My last monthly post before Hads turns one. That makes me so sad. Like really, really sad. Something about knowing how quickly kids grow up combined with Hads being my last baby makes her almost turning one seem so much harder than the other two.
Here is a wrap up of the past month:
- She finally had another tooth pop through on the top-and I think the other top tooth is almost through too. So she has 3 almost 4 teeth.
- She is 100% mobile and gets EVERYwhere, which is of course means she tries to get into lots of things she shouldn't be! She also loves pulling up on whatever she can-my legs being her personal favorite.
- She really doesn't have a favorite toy or anything like that. The only way I can get her to sit still for even a few minutes is to put a bucket full of "stuff" in front of her. She loves to pull everything out but doesn't have any intention on playing with it once the bucket is empty! She still is not happy to sit in her bouncer or play table and just watch a baby einstein. She lasts about 5 min before she starts yelling at me to get her out! :)
- After all of our issues with sippys and formula and such I went ahead and just started her on cows milk around 10 months. For the past month I have still been nursing her but slowly weaning. Last week I was down to about once a day and stopped completely on Sunday (Oct 7th). It was a pretty smooth transition and she didn't have any issues with it. That being said she isn't a huge milk drinker. I can usually get her to take about 5 oz a day, which isn't a ton but we take what we can. She loves table food. She seems to be following in the same footsteps of Jade and Jax and loves her veggies. She likes bananas but doesn't seem fond of too many other fruits. Just as a record, here are some of her fav foods: Breakfast-bananas, yogurt, waffles, cheerios. Lunch-Sandwhiches, green beans/peas, chicken nuggets. Dinner- Home made chicken noodle soup, bread, cheese tortillas

-She has learned to use her voice to get what she wants. Wow....she is noisy! She SCREAMS (shrills) when someone is bugging her (cough...Jaxon...cough) She has learned if she yells someone will take care of the problem. The other day we were grocery shopping and Hads was sitting in the cart. Jax would come up and stand on the cart in front of her. Hadley would scream and push his hands away until he would move. We thought it was a fluke but after 4 or 5 times we knew it was all intentional! They learn quickly...though I don't blame her. Jax LOVES to be in her space and bug her (in a brotherly teasing way). She uses the same loud shrill/scream when she wants something. Usually it is when she is eating or hungry and I am not getting her food fast enough.
-She still struggles some in the sleep department. I would say for most of the month she was back to waking up at least once, many times twice, a night. Not necessarily to eat, just because she would wake up and then cry really loud and for a long time until I would go and get her. 99% of the time I walk in her room with her screaming, pick her up, and she is asleep again in 30 seconds. Little stink. Well, she must just miss me that much at night! ;) On Sat night (10/06) she woke up crying so I just brought her in bed with me and it was the worst night of sleep EVER. I have always known she is a very light sleeper but that night she tossed and turned and fussed most of the night. I was so tired and grumpy when I woke up Sunday (plug for Scott: I voiced my irritation when I finally took Hads to her bed at 6:30 a.m. The next thing I knew it was 10:30. He had gotten up with the kids, took them all to the rental to turn the water off, got them breakfast and started watching conference without me. I must have been WAY tired). Anyway, after I was grumpy and tired from being up all night I started wondering if this is how she is all the time at night and maybe there is a correlation between her crappy sleep and her normal fussiness. I think I am going to take her to the Dr. to make sure she doesn't need her adenoids out or something. So....the next night, Sunday 10/07, I laid her down and an hour later she woke up. I decided to just let her cry it out. She lasted about 30 min and then went back to sleep. Since that night, she has slept through the night. I dont expect it to continue but I am trying to be hopeful!
-She doesn't say any "real" words-as in her saying a word and actually meaning that word. But she does say dada and "whats' that". It's sooo funny because she says "sssssss dat" all the time. It makes us laugh. Her favorite noise/word is "ooo rah"! She says it over and over and over again.
- She is still loved and doted on by Jade. She is lucky to have such a great big sister who takes such good care of her. She is also overly loved by Jaxon. He loves to make her laugh...and scream! :) He has just started to find it great to pick her up and carry her around. He loves it....and she hates it!
-She is still 100% a mama's girl and I admit I think that is fantastic! She loves me to hold her and gets so mad if I put her down. I must enjoy this while it lasts because I am sure my time is limited! I love holding her and snuggling with her. She is such a sweet baby.
So there ya have it. My last monthly update on my sweet baby. We all LOVE her to pieces. The next update she will be ONE!!!
This is what happens now if the toilet lid gets left open. I try to make sure all bathroom doors are shut when she is close by. The pictures below are the first time she found the toilet water. She was happy. Today she found it again....Jax hadn't flushed. So gross....good thing I got to her quickly. Doesn't she know she should play in anything yellow! :) No worries....we washed her real well!
And the first day we broke out the gate!
