We wad a big audit at work recently. When we finished it up Avivah (my boss at the time) took us all (and our plus 1's) out to dinner at Carver's. It was so good to get together with everyone. Avivah actually lives in PA so I have only seen her a handful of times and because all the rest of the team works from home I rarely see them. I have worked with most of these people for over 10 years! They are all wonderful people! Avivah retired in Jan and I have REALLY missed her. My old boss, Dave Timothy, was also able to join us and it was good to see him to!

Girls Bday week...Part 2 (Jade's Birthday)
Jadyn turns 9! Jade was off track for her birthday- which she loved! She was so excited for her birthday come. She couldn't wait to go to sleep monday night because she wanted her birthday to come. I thought that was funny because she wasn't getting much for her birthday since her main present was given to her a few weeks before: a turtle! She was so excited as she has wanted a turtle for awhile-especially after the turtle issue this summer. We've had the turtle for about 6 weeks and I think the excitement has warn off-which I figured that could very easily happen. The biggest problem is that the turtle lives in a 50 gallon tank-which has to be cleaned every two weeks (probably should do it once a week) and it takes about an hour and a half to do it. It's Scott's job but he sure doesn't love it! ;) Anyway, Jade was still excited for her birthday. She woke up pretty early and opened her presents. We gave her some doll clothes, a turtle Itouch cover and a gift card to Charming Charlies. She was so excited to get gift cards this year which reminded that she is getting way to old! :) She decided she wanted to go to Classic Skating and we took her friend Olivia with us. For some reason Jade wasn't feeling very well. She kept saying she couldn't breathe and that it felt like her muscles were squeezing together. She cried, was grumpy and tired. Liv's mom came later with her brothers so when we were ready to leave, so I could put Had's down for a nap, Jade and Liv decided that they wanted to stay for awhile longer. When she got home she was still not feeling great. She knew that she wanted to go to IHOP for dinner but she was just not in a very good mood. We headed to IHOP and she thought Brandee was coming and when Brand called and said she couldn't make it Jade just started crying. It was very dramatic. As soon as her food came, and she ate, she started feeling so much better. I realized at that point that she was probably also overly hungry. We skipped breakfast since we left early for classic and then she didn't want the pizza we got at Classic and I was going to get her something at home but she ended up staying with Liv! She is her mother's child. If she gets too hungry she is VERY grumpy. I should have realized it much earlier and it would have solved the problem! Lesson learned...again! ;) Luckily by the time we left IHOP she was feeling much better! We followed dinner up with Menchies and then headed home. Whew..I think birthday #9 is a glimpse at the drama that may be in my future! :)

Lagoon!
We had a great time at Lagoon this year. I know I've said it a lot, but my kids LOVE lagoon. Well, actually I should say that Jaxon LOVES Lagoon. Jadyn likes Lagoon but is definitely at the age where she likes it more if she has friends along. And Hadley....well Hadley was a little iffy. She was always excited to see the rides when we pulled in the parking lot but not so excited once we got in. She definitely loves the Merry-go-round. It is by far her favorite ride. There were a few times we went that she was ok to go on rides but a lot of the time she wasn't all about it and just preferred to hang out in her stroller or walk around. Either way she did always like going and being outside.
I think a huge part of my love for lagoon is just getting to spend some time with my kids-outside-and everyone seems pretty happy and usually gets along! Once we buy the passes it isn't too expensive because we usually take dinner and treats with us and we never play games when we are there.
I'm not sure we are going to get passes next year but we sure had fun this year and loved being able to go up for just a few hours. It was nice to have Scott have a pass this year too so that he could see how much fun the kids have-even if he did rarely ride a ride, he had fun watching!

My kids both LOVE the River Rapid ride. There is no way you can get off the ride without being soaking wet! One night I decided to be "nice mom" (usually I don't participate in this ride) and went on the ride 3 times in a row! We were drenched! The kids thought it was pretty awesome!
Jax rubbed his nose a little too soon after getting the stamp on his hand. It was hilarious!
We got to meet up with Jon and his kids-which my kids loved-especially Jax!
One day it rained....and I tried to pretend it was ok! :) We didn't stay much longer as it started to do much more than drizzle!
This picture cracked me up when I saw it. Hads is the only one looking at the camera, I am getting mad at Jade, who is getting mad back and Jaxon's probably thinking "seriously, can we just go in?"
Not much better! ;)
Enjoying Frightmares
I think our last night was the only time Had's actually feel asleep in the stroller before we left the park! She was snug as a bug though! I was slightly jealous! ;)

Fall fun!
The kids were off track for a few weeks in October and we had great weather! We were able to spend a lot of my days off outside! We all loved it!
The zoo! Hadley loves the animals at the zoo....unless the tigers are making roaring sounds over and over.
